Dragon's Dogma 2 lets you hire YouTubers and streamers as pawns
Famous content creators from YouTube and Twitch have become pawns in Dragon's Dogma 2, and all are free to download.
Action role-playing sequel Dragon's Dogma 2 launches this Friday and continues Capcom's recent run of success, that has made them the highest ranking publisher on Metacritic during 2023.
One of the key features of the game is the ability to hire pawns: AI-controlled companions that will accompany you on your quest and help you during combat.
To promote the game's release, Capcom has announced official pawns based on a variety of YouTubers, VTubers, and streamers.
Among the long list of pawns are YouTubers FightinCowboy, Woolie Versus, Maximilian Dodd, Suzi Hunter, VTuber Snuffy, and Twitch streamers MissMikkaa and Asmongold.
Considering you can hire up to three pawns in your party, you can now surround yourself with an entire squad of content creators.
The official pawns have some distinctions when compared to normal pawns: their name is displayed in a different colour, they don't cost rift crystals if they're below level 10, their equipment can't be changed, and they don't appear in daily and overall rankings. Plus, some are only available during a certain period.
There are currently 45 official pawns based on content creators, that you can download using Riftstones in the game. More are likely to follow after launch.
The character creator, where you can design your own pawns, is already available as a free download. So if you don't want a streamer on your team you can make a different character of your own.
