All the 70s, 80s and 90s music icons with huge UK tours coming up
This year is already promised to be a great one for live music in the UK – and now things have got even better after a string of pop and rock icons announced huge shows.
In April, Manchester will open its brand new Co-op Live Arena, a 23,500-capacity purpose-built concert venue – American rock band the Black Keys will be the first musical act to perform there.
Earlier this week, Fleetwood Mac singer and legendary rockstar Stevie Nicks announced her first string of consecutive UK shows since way back in 1989, with concerts pencilled in for Glasgow, Manchester, and London.
And as if that wasn't enough, a string of huge music icons from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s have announced a run of gigs in the UK over the summer and autumn periods.
Let's have a look at who's gracing UK stages in the next few months.
Stevie Nicks
Fleetwood Mac legend and rock singer Stevie Nicks last played a string of shows in the UK in 1989 but that's about to change, with a run of dates planned for July 2024.
The iconic American singer and songwriter, 75, is down to play shows in Glasgow (July 6), Manchester (July 9), and then London as part of Hyde Park's BST festival (July 12), with an earlier date also pencilled in for Dublin (July 3).
That Glasgow concert will be Stevie's first show in the UK of any kind since before the Covid pandemic she last performed as part of Fleetwood Mac at Wembley Stadium in 2019.
