The vegan diner, within the H Road Corridor part of the town, will shut its doorways in less than two weeks, in response to Fox affiliate WTTG.

"D.C. is getting a nasty rap proper now," Petersan stated.

"There's crime for positive. It makes it extremely troublesome to operate."

She shared that a private run-in with violence within the space was a purpose for the change.

"I used to be carjacked whereas making deliveries for my very own enterprise," she stated.&

"It's scary. It's not one thing I assumed would ever happen to me."

Petersan first opened her diner in 2016 but has now moved the shop to totally different areas and stated she would not depart the town.

The new spots might be within the Takoma and NoMa neighborhoods.
