The vegan diner, in the H Road Corridor part of the town, will shut its doors in lower than two weeks, based on Fox affiliate WTTG.

"D.C. is getting a nasty rap right now," Petersan stated.

She shared that a private run-in with violence within the area was a cause for the change.

"It's scary. It's not something I assumed would ever happen to me."

Petersan first opened her diner in 2016 however has now moved the shop to totally different areas and stated she would not depart the town.
