The Faregrounds Restaurant and Pudley's Pub, a Nantucket staple of more than 25 years, is set to close its doors for good to make way for eight homes. Bill and Kim Puder took ownership of the restaurant in 1997 while it was still known as The Pines, but in a bittersweet moment, they decided to sell the restaurant almost three years ago. Now, Nantucket residents must wave a final goodbye to the local favorite after plans to build a cul-de-sac on the sold land have been revealed.
