Line of Duty star Martin Compston had followers in giggles with a bizarre admission about 'tonguing' a 'bushy winch'.

And by that, we mean a wolf.

The actor, 39, joined presenter Phil MacHugh on The One Show sofa, the place they shared details of their trip to Norway, for BBC programme Norwegian Fling.

As well as driving around the beautiful scenes and even ziplining, Martin obtained close and personal with the locals.

Very close and personal the truth is, as the former pro footballer revealed just how intimate he was with the wolves.

As a sweet clip of the playful animals showering Martin with affection was proven, he defined: 'We obtained informed, in case you open your mouth and let them tongue you a bit bit, they such as you much more.'

'I urge your pardon?!' host Lauren Laverne exclaimed, as Jermaine Jenas admitted it was 'a bit energetic'.

'He's part of the pack now,' Phil chimed in.

'Yeah, you've received to allow them to tongue you a bit, it was a bushy winch,' Martin casually added.

After a surprised moment, he continued: 'Being in the midst of them howling like that, it really was a primal feeling, I've by no means experienced anything like it.'

Viewers have been fast to spot Martin's quip with Davie Broon writing: '@martin_compston simply say "bushy winch" on The One Present?'

Talking of their trip to Norway, Martin admitted he was 'ashamed' it took this long to visit.

The collection comes as a comply with as much as the pair's adventures in Scotland in 2022.

He went on: 'They're great individuals, a bit direct at occasions, however for us as properly it was a bit of cheek this show, for positive.
