Justin Fields spurned the interest of the incumbent Pittsburgh Steelers to sign with the New York Jets earlier this month, it has been revealed. Fields spent the 2024 season with the Steelers after being traded from the Chicago Bears and started the first six games of the campaign, amassing a 4-2 record. Then Pittsburgh made the decision to start a healthy Russell Wilson the rest of the season, with the Steelers falling to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
