Murphy, a rescue bald eagle who attempted to incubate a rock and later flourished as a foster dad, is dead at age 33. The World Bird Sanctuary, Murphy's Missouri home, announced in a Facebook post that the beloved bald eagle died on March 15 following a slew of particularly intense storms and tornadoes in the St. Louis, Mo. area. The sanctuary found Murphy with a head injury, though the nonprofit could not determine what caused it.
