Luigi Mangione names and shames his political enemy

Lawyers representing Luigi Mangione have claimed New York City Mayor Eric Adam is prejudicing the accused assassin's right to a fair trial. In a move that could foreshadow calls for a mistrial, lawyer Karen Agnifilo took aim at the embattled Democrat after a series of publicity stunts around the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. It comes as the 26-year-old's legal defense fund surpassed 22,000 individual donations, raising more than $750,000 as the case received widespread national attention fueled in part by Mr Adams' photo opp during Mangione's extradition to New York and appearance in an HBO documentary.
