Green Day's speech at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards might sound familiar to movie fans. On Monday, March 17, the "American Idiot" band won the alternative artist of the year award at the ceremony. While accepting the award, Green Day — comprised of Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt — did the most unserious thing possible: quote the 1997 dramedy Boogie Nights. Armstrong, 53, took the podium at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre to read their speech, unfolding the paper from his pocket.
