Italian officials are wary of Elon Musk's partnership with President Donald Trump's administration as they slow down a government deal with Starlink for satellite communications. Italy was in advanced talks with Musk's SpaceX to serve the government's encrypted data communications for the military and other areas after Trump won the election. But Giovanbattista Fazzolari, a right hand of Meloni, has raised concerns about Trump's more aggressive posture toward Europe. Italian President Sergio Mattarella has also publicly condemned Trump and Musk.
