Sales of plane tickets have plummeted after several disaster involving commercial aircraft. Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian said the decline likely stem from January's devastating American Airlines collision in Washington, DC that left 67 people dead and a Delta jet flipping over on a Toronto runway last month. 'It caused a lot of shock among consumers,' he said at a JPMorgan Industry conference on March 9, per CNN. Bastian said Delta noticed a 'pretty immediate stall' in corporate and travel bookings following the incidents.
