Trump imposes new executive order slapping 'reciprocal tariffs' on U.S. trading partners worldwide after 'unfair' treatment
President Donald Trump signed an order to allow for new worldwide 'reciprocal tariffs' – with plans to target foreign trade practices on a country-by-country basis that will hit within weeks. The new tariffs will be the most sweeping since America put in place 50 per cent tariffs on all manufacturing goods in 1890. Those tariffs were formulated by the 25th president William McKinley, who Trump has dubbed the 'tariff king'.
