An oceanfront home on Nantucket's rapidly eroding Sheep Pond Road is still valued at a significant sum despite the impeding coastal erosion. The home, which shares the property with another, perched on over four acres of Nantucket's stunning but unstable southwest coastline, was purchased in April 2022 for $3.9 million. When built in 1982, they were set farther back from the shoreline, but decades of erosion have drastically reduced the buffer between land and sea.
