Former Mets general manager Jared Porter has finally spoken out on the scandal that saw him dismissed by New York - and suspended from Major League baseball. Back in 2021, ESPN reported that Porter had sent explicit and unsolicited messages to a female reporter - including a picture of an erect penis - five years earlier. Porter, who was working as director of professional scouting with the Chicago Cubs at the time of the conversation, was fired by the Mets.
