An Australian father has paid $600,000 more for a one-storey red brick home sitting on 6.7 acres of land in a bid to stop his children spending all day on their iPads. The four-bedroom property in Mickleham, 40km north of Melbourne, had a price guide of $1.7million-$1.87million but sold on July 20 for an eye-watering $2.47million. Ray White sales consultant Adrian Prestileo told FEMAIL the determined buyer knew he would win the auction that day.
