The Joker may be the last chance to save the Suicide Squad as Season 1 detailed
Rocksteady reveals how The Joker works in season one and how he wants to save Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have had to watch their gamble on a live service Suicide Squad game flop with reviewers and a player base that shrunk by 95% on PC, just over a month after its release.
Suicide Squad is already available at up to 36% off on Amazon, just ahead of the season one launch on Thursday, March 28.
In damage control mode, Rocksteady has now released a full overview of what to expect, with The Joker being added as a new playable character and well over 100 changes and fixes to the game.
The Joker's mean of traversal will be a rocket powered umbrella (which you would've thought was more Penguin's thing) and the Clown Prince Of Crime also comes with three new playstyles in his talent tree: Jester, Firestarter, and Ringmaster.
Each new season will introduce a new Elseworld – a new alternate dimension to explore – during Incursion and Mayhem missions, and Rocksteady has revealed that season one's Elseworld is 'infected by the twisted and warped mind of The Joker.'
The first season also adds new weapons, outfits, win poses, and missions, although it'll be interesting to see if the missions are as repetitive as in the base game.
Other additions from the patch notes include slower and weaker enemy snipers, lowered requirements for completing the end game introduction, and a host of other changes and bug fixes you can read about here.
As a live service game, Suicide Squad will also introduce new content through new playable characters and new Elseworlds as it goes along, although at the moment there is no word on when season two will start.
Rocksteady and Warner Bros. will be hoping that season one goes well, and more people picked up thegame, because a lot will have to go their way for them to turn things around.
