Emily Ratajkowski's 'global bimbo pictures show she's using her body for collateral – and suggest the work's dried up'
MOST women would balk at insulting labeling, fight back, or stem any derogatory comments made about them with a negative aim.
But according to a psychologist, Emily Ratajkowski continues to boost the "bimbo" narrative designated to her over six years ago.
Emily Ratajkowski (pictured) promotes the global bimbo narrative with intent, said a psychologist[/caption]Emily poses to titillate where there is no exploitation, which is all pretty consistent, according to an expert[/caption]Emily, 32, is known for sharing many seductive images on her Instagram page.
The London-born model posed in a plunging black bodysuit from her New York City bathroom earlier this month.
"Decided I'm never beating the bimbo allegations, so why not lean in, you know?" the model captioned the post.
The mom of one referred to a comment made in 2017 by TV host Piers Morgan – in which he called her a "global bimbo."
Psychologist Jo Hemmings said Emily looked overtly sexual " in her post. She claimed her poses veered toward soft porn.
Lean in girl. Give them a reason to keep talking, wrote one of Emily's fans. Model Irina Shayk added a fire emoji.
Despite the comment from years back, Emily continues to look like a global bimbo, " Hemmings told The U.S. Sun.
It has even become the stuff of Playboy back in the day and veers on soft porn.
Emily's images are sexualized from the bare butt, spread legs, and the headdress.
They range from arty, to the head-over-her-shoulder teasing look, to the overtly sexual.
Emily's photos are designed only to titillate, to be seductive and sexy, especially to guys.
She also looks into the camera as if addressing her viewers personally.
Many are bedroom or bathroom scenes, which adds to the intimacy.
She's especially proud of her butt, even posing with a flower directly in the center."
Jo Hemmings told The U.S. Sun that Emily is especially proud of her butt[/caption]Piers called Emily a global bimbo on Good Morning Britain, a UK daytime TV show.
He was commenting on a photoshoot she had done with Love Magazine.
Emily posed dressed in skimpy underwear, surrounded by oily pasta and food.
"This is Emily Ratajkowski 'promoting feminism'. Somewhere, Emmeline Pankhurst just vomited," Piers also wrote on Twitter, now known as X.
"Lol never said my love video was a feminist statement, Emily responded.
The only thing not bimbo about her now is that there would appear to be no coercion
Jo Hemmings
But now it's worth saying that telling women what to do with their bodies & sexuality is just classic sexism.
I can have opinions about feminism & also do sexy photo shoots thanks, " Emily added.
Emily appears confident in her poses, but Jo Hemmings said the work is not coming in as she wants[/caption]Hemmings said Emily's continued bimbo journey signaled a career downturn.
Perhaps the only thing not bimbo about her now is that there would appear to be no coercion, " she said.
There is no exploitation, and it is all pretty consistent, so she does it with intent.
However confident she may appear, I think work is not coming in as she wants
Jo Hemmings
But that issue is that she has gone from a promising acting and modeling career to this.
However confident she may appear, I think work is not coming in as she wants.
Emily's current collateral is simply the effect that she knows her body will have on men.
Emily has gone from a promising acting career to posing seductively, said an expert[/caption]Emily found fame in 2012 after appearing in Maroon 5's Love Somebody music video.
In 2013, she was chosen for Robin Thicke's controversial Blurred Lines video before modeling for designers like DKNY and Marc Jacobs.
She could be having an interim phase to showcase her sexiness to get media attention
Jo Hemmings
Emily picked up acting roles in Entourage and We Are Your Friends, starring alongside Zac Efron.
Over the next decade, Emily continued to try to carve out her career as a model while posting raunchy images online.
Jo Hemmings told The U.S. Sun that Emily needs to find her direction in her career[/caption]Hemmings suggested Emily's reaction six years after the 2017 bimbo comment has been revealing.
I think she needs to find her direction, " she said.
"Emily wants to do more acting, which I imagine is not coming in right now.
"She is still known for her role in Gone Girl (alongside Ben Affleck), but that was ten years ago.
Carrying on the narrative is telling.
"Bimbo is a term of cheap insult to a woman who is conventionally attractive, highly sexualized, and nave but not very bright.
"Emily is bright. She studied art at UCLA for a year before dropping out to be a model so she has to be pretty clever.
She also does not come over as nave, and no one is exploiting her.
Emily continues to pose like this out of considered choice."
Emily's most recent high-profile shoot was for Glamour magazine.
She shared the images of the cover on her Instagram page.
Fans also kept up the bimbo narrative and how Emily cared about Pier's comments.
"Yeah, she does, or she wouldn't constantly run her talk about not caring," said one.
"Emily continues to draw attention to it all by posting more sexy selfies and comments," said Hemmings.
"She cares, but by playing into the hands of those who call her a bimbo, she does show some defiance and perseverance.
"Underneath, she is also trying to boost her brand.
"Compared to other celebrities, her brand is more blurry than Kim Kardashian's.
"She is not as far along in her journey as Kim, so she has not quite settled for any talent or strand over another."
Emily's personal life has seen her divorce in 2022 and then dating many A-List stars.
After four years of marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard, she was linked to Brad Pitt, Harry Styles, and Pete Davidson.
Emily is mom to two-year-old Sylvester, whom she welcomed with Sebastian in March 2021.
"Emily is a single mom to a two-year-old with an ex-husband and a raft of high-profile boyfriends behind her, " said Hemmings.
"She could be doing a bit of soul-searching.
"She might be wondering where her career and personal life might go from here.
"She could be having an interim phase to showcase her sexiness to get media attention to ensure she's not forgotten.
"Emily was also sexually assaulted at 15 and has claimed that she is a 'bit scared of men.'
By flaunting her body in this confident and defiant way, she's processing and dealing with that.
"This might ensure it can't hold her back from moving on.
Emily may not have the implied self-esteem she is presenting right now.
"This is until she is either in a stable relationship or finds greater success in her career – or both.
