Cole Palmer has admitted that he'll find it 'unusual' and 'bizarre' when Chelsea travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Saturday.
Palmer swapped City for Stamford Bridge in a deal value £42.5m this summer time, a move which initially raised eyebrows given the 21-year-old's lack of experience.
However the versatile attacker has been Mauricio Pochettino's best player this time period – producing 12 objectives and nine assists throughout his opening 28 matches for the Blues.
Palmer has beforehand revealed that it was never his intention to leave City in the summer and now says it is going to be a 'strange' expertise to return to his previous club.
'It is going to be unusual, a weird feeling, however I'm wanting forward to it and the group's wanting ahead to it,' Palmer advised Chelsea's website about Saturday's conflict.
'I'm very excited to be trustworthy, although will probably be strange. Obviously I played towards them at Stamford Bridge.
'But I feel going again to the Etihad will probably be even stranger. I'm really wanting ahead to it.'

Speaking in January, Palmer spoke brazenly about his move from Metropolis to Chelsea and stated: 'My factor was to never depart City.
'That was not my intention. I needed to go on mortgage for a yr, come back and be prepared for the primary workforce.
'But they stated I couldn't go on loan, both keep otherwise you get bought. So then, Chelsea rang me. I stated I needed to go to Chelsea and I'm actually joyful to be right here. I'm very glad I made the choice to return right here.'
