Alison Hammond has been hit with Ofcom complaints after calling youngsters 'naughty' on This Morning.

The Bake Off presenter, 48, has been on our screens more in current months, stepping in for Phillip Schofield after his exit from the daytime programme, and Holly Willoughby's just months later.

On Friday, January 12, she had been internet hosting This Morning with Dermot O'Leary when she made a comment that sparked some uproar about youngsters staying at residence during faculty hours and watching the show.

86 individuals complained to Ofcom, with a spokesperson confirming to Metro.co.uk: 'Nearly all of complaints associated to feedback made by Alison Hammond about youngsters who aren't in class on the time of broadcast as naughty.'

The identical day noticed Alison apologise on-air after her telephone went off through the show.

'Did you not flip it off?' Dermot requested Alison, as he heard the telephone ringing behind him, to which she replied: 'I did turn it off, that's not me, it wasn't me!'

She shortly grabbed her telephone and added: 'Oh, it was! I assumed I had it on aeroplane mode.

'Maintain on, let me flip it off. I'm so sorry!'

'To be truthful, she was on aeroplane mode, it's not her fault!' Dermot informed viewers.

Alison has previously been in trouble with angry viewers, and sparked intense backlash final yr over comments about banning audience members from singing alongside to reside exhibits.

The dialog on theatre etiquette lead to 66 Ofcom complaints, after Alison stated, of the ban: 'I can't consider it. I'd be devastated. I'm not even going to go to that show now.'

Alison later issued an apology, tweeting: 'After reflection and the feedback I made on Wednesday's show I need to apologise to anyone who I offended particularly the incredibly gifted theatre performers, who I have the utmost respect for,' and added that she needed 'to make use of my platform for good'.

Dermot also defended himself, posting: 'Might I politely urge anybody passing judgement on the clip to observe the whole interview… as I used to be truly arguing AGAINST individuals singing too loudly in theatres.'

He added that he had 'love and respect for these treading the boards'.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
