The Wire creator David Simon offered a scathing rebuke to Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos after the billionaire broke his silence on the newspaper's decision not to endorse a presidential candidate. Simon, a former journalist and the creative force behind the hit HBO series, explained why he cancelled his subscription to the Post in a lengthy screed on X Monday night. In the post, Simon accused Bezos of 'abuse of public trust' and labeled him a 'technobrat oligarch'.
