You're neigh going to believe the name of Beyonce's horse
Beyonce has revealed the artwork for her upcoming country album, Cowboy Carter, which features a stunning image of her sitting on a horse.
But, what is the horse called? That's the mane question…
Well, the steed has a name so iconic that it's only right it features on an album cover with the queen herself.
After the gorgeous artwork was posted to Bey's social media, Justina Omokhua, SVP at Parkwood Entertainment, took to her Instagram Story to share that the horse featured is named Chardonneigh.
Yes, really. How fabulous?
Reacting to the horse's punny moniker, fans were beside themselves.
'Chardonneigh, I'm here for it!', wrote X user Jakelvian.
'This is the best thing i have ever heard in my life', said waflanagan.
'Chardonneigh! You're doing great, sweetie!!!!', praised kikiballchange.
'This is the single greatest name for a horse ever', added AaronMurtagh10.
Chardonneigh now joins the family along with Reneigh, which was the name given to the mirrorball horse on Beyonce's Rennaisance album artwork.
When Chardonneigh made her Insta debt, Beyonce penned a sweet message about her new record and love for the country genre.
'Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of TEXAS HOLD 'EM and 16 CARRIAGES. I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart,' she began.
'That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist's race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.'
The Halo hitmaker explained that 'this album has been over five years in the making.'
'It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomedand it was very clear that I wasn't. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.'
She added: 'The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.'
Teasing what's to come, the Grammy winner wrote: 'I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound.
'I focused on this album as a continuation of RENAISSANCEI hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop.'
She signed off: 'This ain't a Country album. This is a Beyonc album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with y'all!'
Naturally, the hype around the star's next release is immense, with fans even suspecting the one and only Taylor Swift could feature on a track.
Of course, Taylor is no stranger to country music, having started her career and made a name for herself in the genre.
X user gpemps wrote: 'Swear WE NEED A BEYONC-TAYLOR SWIFT DUET PLS PLS PLSSS'.
'if this is the album where Beyonce finally brings back country Taylor Swift the internet is gonna break in HALF', echoed relientkenny.
The duet wouldn't be a complete surprise, considering the two powerhouse musicians have openly supported one another in the past…
Most recently, Both Beyonce and Taylor showed up at each other's premieres for their concert films – were they dropping an Easter egg for us?
