Train Sim World 4 lets you travel the Goblin on the London Overground
A new add-on gives you the chance to drive the London Overground for the first time in Train Sim World 4, and it looks very authentic.
Dovetail Games' Train Sim World is basically Microsoft's Flight Simulator but for trains, with the series having gained a healthy following over the years, with multiple sequels and add-ons.
The latest title in the series was released back in September, to positive reviews, and it's next stop is London, more specifically the London Overground.
A new add-on will let you enter the cab of a Class 710 Aventra and drive commuters from north to east London.
The add-on costs 24.99 and sees you travel what's nicknamed the Goblin route: from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside, via Harringay, Tottenham, Walthamstow, and Leytonstone, while crossing over and under other London railway lines.
'It's a delight to bring our first simulation of the London Overground to Train Sim World, allowing players to experience driving in the busy capital with the very latest trains that Transport For London are running today,' said Dovetail executive producer, Matt Peddlesden.
It's not the first London-centric content in the game, as other routes and trains available from different add-ons include the London Underground Bakerloo Line and the Thameslink Class 700 train.
The route was recently renamed to the London Overground Suffragette line, in a bid to simplify route names across London, and to honour the 20th century suffragette movement and its contribution to women's rights.
The add-on is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
