Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos reunite for new film, Kinds of Kindness
The actor and director most recently worked together on 'Poor Things,' for which Stone won a Best Actress Oscar.

EMMA STONE would hardly have had time to find space on the shelf for her Oscar before news broke she's teaming up with Poor Things director Yorgos Lanthimosfor yet another project.
The actor-who took home a Best Actress Oscar for her role in the psychological thriller-stars in Lanthimos' next project, Kinds of Kindness, which will premiere later this year. Stone and Lanthimos have worked on several projects together already. This included 2018's The Favourite, 2022 short Bleat and last year's Poor Things the latter of which they've even pinched some of the cast members from for Kinds of Kindness.
Ahead, everything we know about Kinds of Kindness so far, including its (stellar) cast and release date.
What is Kinds of Kindness about?
Kinds of Kindness will be an anthology film, and Lanthimos' first contemporary project since 2017's The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
While not much is known about the plot, the director did reveal some details in an interview with The Guardian.
"It's a contemporary film, set in the US," he told the publication. "Three different stories, with four or five actors who play one part in each story, so they all play three different parts. It was almost like making three films, really."
No official logline has been released at the time of writing.
Kinds of Kindness cast
Kinds of Kindness will star Yorgos Lanthimos' golden girl, Emma Stone, alongside her fellow Poor Things cast members, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley.
The cast will also include Joe Alwyn, who worked with Lanthimos on The Favourite, as well as Killers Of the Flower Moon's Jesse Plemons, The Whale's Hong Chau, and Elemental's Mamoudou Athie.
Hunter Schafer is on board too, following her recent role in the Hunger Games sequel, The Ballad Of Songbird and Snakes.
Kinds of Kindness release date
Kinds of Kindness will be released in cinemas on June 21, 2024.
The film is primed for a competitive opening weekend, with Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy Austin Butler-fronted The Bikeriders; It Ends with Us, starring Blake Lively; and June Squibb comedy Thelma all being released at the same time.
